About the Foundation

The OSF St. Mary Foundation was organized in 1990 "to promote, receive, hold and invest contributions, gifts and bequests of any type of property," to support OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

As a not-for-profit and recognized 501(c)3 organization, our fundraising efforts, volunteer activities and financial support are vital to the growth and advancement of OSF St. Mary Medical Center. Gifts made to the OSF St. Mary Foundation remain in our community and are used in direct support of hospital programs and services aimed at fulfilling the Mission of OSF St. Mary Medical Center to "serve with the greatest care and love."

A community advisory board, named the Foundation Council, plans, develops and directs all activities of the OSF St. Mary Foundation, with the goal to cultivate and encourage a culture of philanthropy in our employees, grateful patients and families and the communities we serve.
