Les Vicary

You may know him from seeing him at the information desk. He greets visitors with a warm smile and helps direct them to where they need to go. Les Vicary has been a volunteer at OSF St. Mary Medical Center for 2 1/2 years. Les and his wife owned a farm, outside of Galesburg, where they raised and showed horses. The couple sold the farm, moved into town and started volunteering at the hospital to keep themselves busy. Les says he has been a supporter of OSF St. Mary's for many years and wanted to give back.

"It's a great opportunity to volunteer at St. Mary's," says Les, who says the most enjoyable part of his job is meeting new people everyday.

Les and his wife have two sons, a daughter and a step-son and several grandchildren.
